Ariana Grande: Justin Bieber Needs Help, Not Punishment

Justin Bieber has had a rough few weeks and Ariana Grande is speaking out about her comments where she dubbed the 19-year-old pop star “the most visible and yet isolated human being I’ve ever met,” but says he needs help, not ridicule.

Access Hollywood caught up with Ariana on the Grammys red carpet, where she further explained her remarks.

“He’s very isolated… I don’t think anybody understands. I don’t think anybody could ever understand. I certainly don’t, but I just think that people could be a little more sensitive to him… he does need help, but I don’t think he needs punishment,” she said.

Bieber, who was arrested for suspicion of DUI, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest without violence on Thursday, was spotted on Sunday on a beach in Panama.

“There’s a difference between helping somebody and punishing them. It’s gets to a point where all you need is a good talk with your family,” Ariana continued. “I think he’s in good hands and I don’t think he’s putting anything at jeopardy other than his health… I just know that a lot of people are rooting for him to be healthy and that’s like the most important thing.”

Ariana, who shares the same manager as Justin – Scooter Braun – has faith he’ll be able to get his life back on track.

“He’s in really good hands. And yeah so he’ll be fine,” she added.
