Ariana Grande Talks VMAs Performance, New Album & ‘Big Brother’ Live Feed Obsession

Ariana Grande’s hit song “Problem” has dominated the radio airwaves and now, Ariana will be opening this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards performing another hit, “Bang Bang” with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj.

Then, Ariana will perform solo with yet another new hit, “Break Free.” Access Hollywood caught up with the 21-year-old star to get the details on her double VMA performances.

“We’ll have to wait and see, I don’t want to say too much,” she told Access’ Shaun Robinson, when asked if her “Break Free” performance will echo the video, which has a sci-fi feel.

“It’s going to be fun,” she continued. “It’s definitely staying in the realm of the video.”

With the first three singles off her upcoming album already huge hits, is Ariana breathing a sigh of relief?

“Well it, I mean, definitely a sigh of relief, more like a heart attack,” she said. “Because it’s overwhelming, it’s very exciting, I’m very, very grateful – it’s not what I expected.”

Adding, “But I’m very excited. I’m very proud of the whole album and considering that these first singles aren’t even my favorite from the album, it’s even more exciting to me.”

And Ariana wishes her older brother Frankie was enjoying the excitement alongside her, but he is holed up in the “Big Brother” house – and Ariana keeps constant tabs on his house activities.

“I’m insane. I watch the live feed 24/7 and it’s on every laptop, every TV monitor in my house, 24/7,” she said. “I am having a heart attack. And yes, I have a chat room ID!”

Ariana’s new album, “My Everything,” will be available Monday.
