Arrow: Summer Glau Nabs Recurring Role As Isabel Rochev

A beautiful new face is headed to “Arrow.”

Summer Glau (“Firefly,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) has landed a recurring role on The CW’s hit series, AccessHollywood.com has learned.

The actress will play “enigmatically beautifully” but “professionally dangerous” Isabel Rochev, Vice President of Acquisitions at Stellmoor International (a company looking to take over Queen Consolidated).

Rochev’s name was previously referenced on “Arrow,” as her name was seen on the late Robert Queen’s list of people who have “failed” Starling City.

Glau will make her first appearance as Rochev in the Season 2 premiere episode, set to air October 9.

In the DC universe, Rochev hails from a small village in Siberia where she worked in a diamond mine. She met and fell in love with Robert Queen, Oliver’s father, when he visited her village many years ago.

Rochev becomes the CEO of Queen Industries and is hell-bent on killing Oliver (played by Stephen Amell on the series), though it is not known if the show – which sometimes strays from its DC Comics roots – will follow the comic book plot.

“Arrow” returns with its Season 2 premiere on October 9 at 8 PM on The CW.
