Ashley Greene, Adam Lambert & More Tweet Over ‘Idol’ Finale; Mark Ballas Sends Special Message To Pia Toscano

“American Idol” has ended another season, but Wednesday night’s big Grand Finale caused a stir on Twitter, as celebrity fans Tweeted about the star-packed show.

“Coachella has nothing on America Idol! Best performers ever! Lady GaGa, Tim McGraw, TLC , Beyonce , Bono , and @reevecarney rocked it!” “The Twilight Saga” siren Ashley Greene wrote, adding, “Oh… And carrie underwood, Steven Tyler, Scott McCreery, and Lauren Alaina were Pretty amazing too!!”

Adam Lambert, the runner up in Season 8, was also impressed.

“Some amaaaazing performances at Idol tonight!!” he wrote, later adding, “Beyonce and Gaga’s performances were awesome!!! Oh and Steven Tyler!!! Hot!”

Adam, who was at the show, also expressed his glee over his celebrity encounter with the acting superstar – and Tenacious D frontman – who sang with Casey Abrams on Wednesday night.

“I met Jack Black!!! Such a fan!” Adam wrote.

Season 8 winner Kris Allen was most impressed by the U2 performance of their original music from the Broadway production, “Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark,” with production star Reeve Carney.

“Can’t believe I just watched Bono and the Edge perform live. Uh….mazeb****!” Kris Tweeted.

Chris Daughtry from “Idol’s” Season 5 praised his pal, Marti Frederikson, who joined Steven Tyler as the Season 10 judge performed “Dream On.”

“My boy @Martihfred on drums with Steven!!!!” Chris wrote.

It was a different kind of Tweet from “Dancing with the Stars” third place finisher Mark Ballas, who sent some love over to his girl, Pia Toscano. The two became involved after their respective shows shared the same studio lot during the season.

“Just watched the idol final in NYC.. @PToscanoAI10 Is my Champion… Love you Pi, so proud of you,” Mark wrote.

One former “Idol,” however, expressed her disappointment at missing the show.

“Hey yal didn’t tell me tonight was American idol finale ! I had no idea !!” Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson wrote.

After it was all over — on the East Coast, anway, Twitter users congratulated teenager Scotty McCreery on his win.

“Great time at the finale tonight,” Kris Allen wrote. “Congrats Scotty and the rest of the idols on starting their career tomorrow.”

Later, when the show aired on the West Coast, even more celebrities got in on the Twitter “Idol” action, a few of them marveling over Jennifer Lopez’s sexy performance alongside her husband, Marc Anthony

“OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! SUPER SEXY J-LO!!!!!!! The hair, the outfit, the dancing, the body!!!! ShaZAMMM!!! #americanidol,” actress Mena Suvari wrote.

“You are amazing @JLo!!!!!” Alyssa Milano Tweeeted.

Beyonce’s two performances on the show were also praised.

“Beyonce is my idol!! She is so inspiring and one of the best entertainers out there today!” “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Cheryl Burke wrote.

“Knocked Up” director Judd Apatow had another kind of comment.

“The director of American Idol should lose his DGA card for being so wide during Beyonce performance. I could see her and half of Los Angeles,” he wrote.
