Ashley Hebert Tapped As ABC’s New ‘Bachelorette’

She may not have found love with Brad Womack, but Ashley Hebert is getting another shot at finding romance with someone else.

The 26-year-old dentistry student has been named the newest face of “The Bachelorette” franchise.

While Ashley and Brad, ABC’s first two-time “Bachelor,” clicked and she made it to the hometown dates, the couple’s relationship fell apart after a trip on the show to South Africa.

In an unusual twist earlier in “The Bachelor” season, Brad actually took Ashley aside during a rose ceremony and the two sat down and had a talk about her feelings. She admitted she couldn’t communicate them properly and Brad ultimately let Ashley go, without completing the rose ceremony.

The news that Ashley is to be the next “Bachelorette” was announced on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday evening, but many loyal viewers began suspecting Ashley might be the next “Bachelorette” after she debuted a glammed-up appearance on “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All,” earlier this month.

Ashley, who hails from Maine, is the youngest of three siblings. She was Maine’s 2002 Junior Miss and received a scholarship after competing in America’s Junior Miss pageant. She also has a love of dance and captained her dance team in college.

The pretty brunette is also smart too, graduating summa cum laude in her undergraduate from the University of Maine. She currently has a 3.96 GPA in her dental program and will graduate in May.

“The Bachelorette” will premiere on Monday, May 23 at 9 PM ET, and then at 8 PM beginning on May 30.
