Attorney’s Appeal To Delay Chris Brown Case Denied

A key hearing in Chris Brown’s assault case will proceed as planned, Access Hollywood has learned.

Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, had asked the California Supreme Court to delay the hearing, but that request has been denied by the court.

The case remains on calendar for June 22.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Brown’s first bid to delay the hearing in the assault case was denied last week. Two justices from California’s Second District Court of Appeal rejected a previous appeal made by Geragos.

On February 8, Brown allegedly beat Rihanna hours before she was scheduled to take the stage at the Grammy Awards. Brown pleaded not guilty to felony assault and making criminal threats for the alleged incident on April 7 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
