Attorneys Give Additional Closing Arguments In Attempt To Sway Jury In Britney Spears Case

Attorneys in Britney Spears’ driving case made a new round of closing arguments in an attempt to spur the jury toward a verdict.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James A. Steele allowed prosecution and defense attorneys to restate their cases for 11 minutes Tuesday morning.

The move came after the jury of eight women and four men again told the judge on Tuesday that they couldn’t reach a verdict.

Deliberations began on Friday.

Spears was charged with driving without a valid license stemming from a hit-and-run accident in August 2007. If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Spears faces jail time and a fine.

The 26-year-old has not appeared during the trial.
