“Bachelor” franchise host Chris Harrison has split with his wife, the reality show host confirmed to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on Wednesday.
“Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain, and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children,” the couple said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood.
On Thursday, In Touch Weekly was first to report that Harrison and Gwen Jones, his wife of nearly two decades, split some time ago.
“They are still really close and remain the best of friends,” a source told the magazine, noting the two have been working hard to co-parent their children, Joshua, 9, and Taylor, 7,.
“They’ve been taking turns with their kids so they can both see them as much as possible,” the source added.
Chris returns to host “The Bachelortte,” featuring Emily Maynard in her search for love, on May 14 at 9:30/8:30c on ABC.
