Baltimore Ravens Linebacker Ray Lewis: ‘I May Have Been Catfished!’

Most people don’t want to mess with Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis on the field, but the Super Bowl player admitted some people may have messed with him online.

At Super Bowl media day in New Orleans on Tuesday, an Access Hollywood producer brought up the recent Manti Te’o scandal by asking some of the players – including Lewis – if they’d ever been catfished. And, it turns out, Lewis thinks he may have been a victim in the past.

“I may have been catfished once or twice,” the defensive superstar laughed. “When I saw the catfish thing, when he told his story, I just thought it was hilarious that people would do that to people and then I did have to reflect because, like I said, I think I’ve been done once or twice like that.”

Lewis and the Ravens face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 6:30 PM ET/3:30 PM PT in Super Bowl XLVII on CBS.
