Barbra Streisand Returning To Village Vanguard For New Album

Forty-eight years after her Village Vanguard debut, Barbra Streisand will turn to the famed New York City jazz venue to perform songs from her new album, “Love Is The Answer.”

The star will take the stage on Sept. 26 to sing selections from her new release, a collection of jazz standards and classics. The show will be free to fans who pre-order the album or register their names free of charge at BarbraStreisand.com.

Her performance at the Vanguard almost five decades ago – where she opened for jazz legend Miles Davis — helped launched her career as a singer and actress that’s seen her become the top-selling female recording artist of all time as well as the winner of numerous Oscars, Grammys, Emmys and Golden Globe awards. To date, she’s sold over 140 million albums worldwide.

“Love Is The Answer,” due Sept. 29 and produced by Diana Krall, will be her first studio album since 2005’s “Guilty Pleasures.”
