Beauty Breakdown: Lupita Nyong’o (Glam Slam)

Congrats to the lovely Lupita Nyong’o, who scored a Screen Actors Guild nomination this morning for her amazing and acclaimed performance in “12 Years A Slave.”

You will be hearing about her a lot in the next few months.

I think she positively glows here at this recent film benefit event… perhaps it’s a beauty look we will be seeing on future award show red carpets?

Here is how you can achieve that same gorgeous glow.

WHO: Chanel Celebrityi Makeup Artist Fulvia Farolfi

INSPIRATION: Given the beautiful silver and black high collar CHANEL Jacket she was wearing, Lupita and I choose to put emphasis on the eyes for the event. I designed a very feminine, yet strong eye paired with flawless skin, strengthened eyebrows, warm blush and soft but lively lips.

Skin: The skin was prepped with CHANEL Lotion Douceur and CHANEL Le Lift Crème.

Face: CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Long Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 154 Ambre was applied, followed by CHANEL Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer in 42 Beige Golden and CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour SPF 15 in No. 60.

Blush: I applied CHANEL Powder Blush in Malice.

Eye: CHANEL Limited Edition Stylo Eyeshadow in Black Stream was applied first to the top and bottom lids. The light silver eyeshadow shade from CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Smoky Eyes was used in the inner corner of the eye and the darker sparkly silver shade was used over the Black Stream. CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Noir was used inside the water line of the eyes.

Brows: We used CHANEL Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Cendre.

Mascara: I applied CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir.

Lips: CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Unique was used to finish the look.
