Beckham Bash Brings Out Hollywood’s Biggest Stars

David and Victoria Beckham were the toast of the town last night, as Hollywood’s best and brightest came out to celebrate their arrival to Los Angeles.

Power couples Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes and Will & Jada Pinkett Smith organized the private lavish affair at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary gallery, with Tom and Will playing hosts for the evening’s big event.

Streets surrounding the Museum were shut down to make way for the parade of stars arriving to the invitation-only party. A red carpet was rolled out at the museum’s entrance, as helicopters swooped overhead and police kept gawking fans at bay.

Eva Longoria was one of the first to make an appearance on the red carpet. The beautiful, recently wed star was radiant in a mini yellow puff dress with shoulder straps and emerald green heels.

Hot on those heels was “American Idol” producer Simon Fuller, who used to manage the Spice Girls when Victoria was simply known as “Posh.”

Brooke Shields arrived in what appeared to be business attire, accompanied by husband Chris Henchy. Hollywood hotshot producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer were also on hand to welcome the Beckhams.

And it wasn’t long before the guests of honor arrived! The celeb-o-meter went into overdrive when David & Victoria showed up flanked by Tom, Katie, Will & Jada. The six superstars posed as a group amidst a blinding barrage of flashbulbs before separating to get some individual attention.

Victoria, looking incredible in a tiny black cocktail dress, posed for the clamoring photographers with her handsome husband, who looked sharp in a pinstriped grey suit with a black skinny tie.

Jada, also in a mini cocktail dress, spiced things up with heels that resembled half boots, while Will shined — literally — in a silver suit!

Katie also dazzled in a strapless red gown that showed off her shoulders as well as her back lines. Tom looked just as good, wearing a dark suit and sporting a fresh, youthful haircut. Cruise flew in especially for the party from Germany, where he is currently shooting the film, “Valkyrie.”

As the six-pack headed inside, other guests began to arrive en masse. Ashton Kutcher & Demi Moore hurried in, meeting up with Bruce Willis and his date, and friends Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy.

Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Forest Whitaker were there, as well as Wesley Snipes, Quincy Jones, Tyrese Gibson, Matthew Perry, Taye Diggs, Adrian Grenier, Queen Latifah, Alyson Hannigan and Kristen Bell. Melanie Brown, aka “Scary Spice,” came ready to party in a tight pink shiny number.

Inside, the couple of the evening took the stage as David expressed to those assembled how grateful they were to be in Los Angeles.

Will joined the Beckhams on stage, officially welcoming them to LA. He recalled that Tom once told him that your circle of friends, who you choose as your wife…“that’s what defines you.”

And with their large, famous circle of friends surrounding them, the party for Posh & Becks kicked into gear.

“Hollywood chic” was the style of choice, as chandeliers and large mirrors snazzed up the warehouse-like venue. Couches, elaborate lighting and floral arrangements added to the nightclub mystique, as partygoers mingled and danced to songs spun by Doug E. Fresh and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson (including songs by the Spice Girls and Will Smith’s “Summertime”).

Although Jamie Foxx denied Doug E.‘s request for a song, the legendary Stevie Wonder was happy to oblige. Performing a cappella (with beat box accompaniment from Fresh), Stevie got the whole crowd to sing along to “My Cherie Amour” and “Sign, Sealed, Delivered.” Lil’ Kim, Rihanna, and members of Linkin Park also represented the music jet set at the star-studded affair.

Perhaps the greatest musical moment came from Tom Cruise. When Fresh and Ronson played Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock & Roll,” Cruise took off his jacket and danced to the “Risky Business” tune — although with considerably more clothes on than he had in that famous movie scene!

The food at the party was decidedly American and surprisingly simple, considering the star power assembled in the room. Along with a full bar, guests munched on In-N-Out Burgers, french fries, mashed potatoes, salad, chicken fingers, and a veritable “tower” of cupcakes.

Reporters and photographers outside were even let in on the fun, as the caterers brought out cheeseburgers, fish & chips and chicken nuggets as “a gift for all the paparazzi.”

Last night’s party capped off a big weekend for the Beckhams, as David made his debut with the LA Galaxy soccer team the day before. Celebrities cheering him on at Saturday’s exhibition match against Chelsea included Holmes, Longoria, Shields and Henchy, Drew Carey, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
