Ben Affleck’s Batman Will Be ‘Tired And Weary And Seasoned’

Now that the Batfleck backlash has died down, Warner Bros. is giving fans a hint at what type of Caped Crusader Ben Affleck will be – and it appears Alfred should pull up a chair and pour a stiff drink for the superhero.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, during a conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara spoke about the vision that director Zack Snyder has for the character.

“He’ll be kind of tired and weary and seasoned,” Tsujihara told the crowd. “And he’ll have been doing it for a while.

“Ben is perfect for Zack’s vision for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character. We think it’s gonna be huge,” he continued.

With rumors flying and fans daydreaming about other possible DC Comics characters getting the big screen treatment (reports of Wonder Woman, a Green Lantern reboot and The Flash all getting movies have been tossed around), Tsujihara hinted that more than just the “Man of Steel” sequel with Ben is in the works.

More DC property announcements are set “for the coming months,” he said, adding that this would include TV, movies, and video games.
