Bethenny Frankel might live by her “Yes” motto, but when it comes to her talk show, the answer was, “No.”
After just one season on the air, her syndicated daytime talk show, “Bethenny,” has been canceled.
“I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures,” the 43-year-old said in a statement Friday morning.
“My entire staff worked so hard and made every day so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day,” the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star continued.
According to an E! source, the author/Skinnygirl Cocktails maven is “bummed out,” that the show – produced by Ellen DeGeneres – has been canned.
“She loved doing the show. But at the same time, it’s a blessing in disguise,” the source said. “She has so many other projects to work on. She’s focused on continuing to build her brand and making it bigger and better than ever.”
The series reportedly pulled in 1.1 million viewers per episode and was ranked 14th among other talk shows on the air.
“We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion and professionalism Bethenny and her staff brought to daytime each and every day and look forward to finishing out the season with more great original episodes,” a rep for Telepictures said in a statement on Friday. “While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that Bethenny has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future.”
