Bethenny Frankel Quits ‘Real Housewives Of NYC’

For years Bethenny Frankel was the single lady on “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but now that she’s finally a housewife in real life, she has quit the Bravo reality show.

“My gut’s saying not to be part of this cast,” Bethenny said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday.

“Last season was scary and painful,” she added.

Bethenny had highly-contentious feuds with fellow “Housewives” castmembers Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin.

While she may not be a regular part of the show, a source told Us Magazine (which first reported the news), that Bethenny is required by her contract to appear on the program.

Bethenny now has her own show on Bravo, “Bethenny Getting Married?,” which documented her life as she married Jason Hoppy, and gave birth to the couple’s first child – Bryn. The show’s premiere earlier this summer became Bravo’s most watched series premiere in the network’s history. The finale of the show, in early August, brought in nearly 2 million viewers.

Bethenny, a Twitter regular, steered clear of the social networking site after the news broke.
