Betty White & Friends Celebrate Her 89th Birthday

Betty White turned 89 on Monday and the beloved star kept the celebration going on Tuesday with her “Hot In Cleveland” co-stars in New York City.

“Getting to 89 took really no talent. All I had to do was just hold still!” Betty told Access Hollywood at her birthday celebration at New York’s Le Cirque.

“Cleveland” co-star Wendie Malick was excited to celebrate Betty’s big night, telling Access, “She’s just inspired so many of us.”

Jane Leeves – also on “Cleveland” – told Access she was more than happy to honor the beloved Hollywood legend.

“We’re just so thrilled that she came and joined our show… we had such a wonderful time with her and asked her back and she said, ‘You betcha!’” Jane said. “For me, she’s just an inspiration… her success… her longevity. And the reason she looks so fabulous is that she continues to do what she loves.”

Valerie Bertinelli told Access she also admires her co-star’s tenacity and drive.

“She loves her job, she loves working, she loves doing what she does and she’s so quick, so yeah, she’s a big inspiration,” Valerie, who also stars on the TV Land sitcom, explained. “Betty is pretty much fearless to do anything!”

Betty told Access she adored her co-stars’ well wishes, but hinted there’s still more to her than meets the eye.

“They’re all so sweet to me and spoil me rotten, but don’t believe everything they say,” Betty added.

“Hot In Cleveland” returns for its second season on TV Land on January 19 at 10 PM.
