Bill Cosby Gets Back To Comedy On ‘Leno’

BURBANK, Calif. (January 30, 2007) — Bill Cosby’s latest message to young people was one that — unlike many of his more recent ones — didn’t get people upset.

He was on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and it served as a reminder that he used to be a comedian, before he became a social critic.

You could say he returned to stand-up, except he was sitting down. Cosby walked out and sat on a simple brown metal folding chair to tell his jokes.

He warned young people that he “had a body once” — but it disappeared over the years. He says he even bought an electric toothbrush after seeing his naked self jiggle in the mirror while he was brushing by hand.

After sitting down with Leno, Cosby told a couple of other stories before scooting down the couch for another guest.
