Billboard Music Awards: Top 5 Moments

The Billboard Music Awards rocked Las Vegas on Sunday night, bringing massive star power to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Here are’s top 5 moments from the exciting show:

Miranda & Carrie Hit The Stage: Talk about girl power! Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood rocked the stage in dueling minis and booties, performing their new duet, “Something Bad.” With that much vocal power, whipping blond hair and ripped gams, how could these ladies not make the list?

Justin Timberlake’s Speech Shade: Justin Timberlake accepted the award for Top Artist via a pre-taped segment (he couldn’t be there due to touring conflicts). In true JT style, the performer sang his thank yous before saying he wanted to thank “everyone… except Donald Sterling.”

John Legend: John wowed (as usual) with his performance of “All of Me” and “You & I.” Surrounded by string players, the singer belted out the beautiful ballad perfectly while playing the piano. Wife Chrissy Teigen was shown smiling in the audience (John wrote both songs for her). The Sports Illustrated model even busted out a few lines of “You & I” from her seat.

Robin Thicke’s Plea: Estranged from his wife Paula Patton, Robin kicked off his performance by telling the crowd, “All right, you got to help me try to get her back now.” The singer then launched into his song, “Get Her Back,” which included lines like, “I should’ve kissed you longer/I should’ve held you stronger” and “I gotta get her, go get her back/I gotta treat her right/I gotta cherish her for life.”

MJ Lives: Michael Jackson took the stage once again, thanks to technology. A hologram MJ performed an entire number (“Slave to the Rhythm”) alongside real, non-hologram dancers.

Honorable mentions go to Shakira for her sexy performance of “Empire,” Jennifer Lopez for winning the Icon Award (and her two performances), Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande for their “Fancy”/“Problem” showdown, and Kendall Jenner, for having a near-Travolta name-flub moment.
