UPDATE 11:04 PM: BRACCIANO, Italy — Becks [Victoria?s husband, soccer star David Beckham] had a game and had to leave.
What a stud. He joined his wife at the rehearsal and left her for the wedding.
A gentleman and a stud. No scandal, all gallantry.
10:12 PM: I just got an email that said ?IN TOUCH WEEKLY EXCLUSIVE: TOM AND KATIE WED IN ITALY.?
Exclusive? There were tons of media there, everyone reported from outside and to read a piece of junk like that, likely sent from a desk in New York, is ridiculous.
There is a lot of bogus info floating around and it will only continue. Please choose your sources carefully.
Tom and Katie’s publicity team, captained by the great Paul Bloch already put out their press release. It was detailed like it had been written days before and I believe it was:

?The bride carried a bouquet of flowers made by Giorgio Armani including calla lilies wrapped in leaves of galax and steelgrass while the wedding reception included colorful and elegant floral décor accented with red roses.?
The reason its so detailed is to prevent these different media outlets from trying to “grease” the caterers and providers for their info.
No need. It?s all out there before the reception is even over.
This long wedding weekend was executed with military type efficiency. I am impressed and exhausted. I miss my daughters and can’t wait to return to my own “fairy tale” bride.
8:05 PM: Italian time: They’re married. The word came from inside a short while ago that vows have been exchanged. Let the party begin. Outside, it’s begun.
7:25 PM: I have just come down from my position to take a quick walk through town. Wow! It?s packed.
Like a gypsy village, candles burn everywhere. People are drinking and eating like it?s Oktoberfest.
The police just shut down some band that plugged in their amps and started wiling out the Italian classics.
Those castle walls are thick. I doubt they were distracting the ceremony. Nonetheless, the party rolls on as Bracciano, Italy is way beyond its normal capacity.
Its 6:34PM…Tom and Katie’s wedding is about to go off. As usual this weekend, Jada Pinkett Smith was one of the first to arrive with a big smile. J.Lo and Mark were towards the end, right after Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy. I am hosting wraps for Monday night’s show in a perfect spot above the crowd at the mouth of the entrance to the castle.
To be truthful, as excited and jazzed up as this town is, the crowd has been kept in suspense and, thus far, is disappointed as no celebs are getting out of their cars to wave hello.

My guess is that the guests will come out and greet the throngs of fans outside the castle when the wedding ceremony is over…. Charles and Diana did. |
