Bindi Irwin: ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Judges ‘Scare Me More than Any Crocodile’

Bindi Irwin would rather face off against the jungle’s most feared beasts than come face-to-face with Bruno Tonioli!

The 17-year-old revealed on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live that she’s “terrified” about competing in the ballroom, especially with judges Bruno, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough watching.

“Honestly, I am so nervous. I think the judges scare me more than any crocodile or any snake. Give me a 15-foot croc any day over the judges,” she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

Despite her fears of jumping into the deep end of the glitter-dusted, bronzer-coated world, Bindi is in it to win it.

“I want to do my best job I possibly can for Derek, for everyone on the show and for my family back at home. I want to see how far I can take this. I’m cheering everyone on, but for myself personally I want to take it far,” she explained.

And getting far in the competition means trading in her jungle-approved, earth-tone gear for some serious and colorful ballroom glam.

“I’m stepping outside of my comfort zone majorly. I’m not in khakis, I’m in sequin outfits that are all pink and sparkly. It’s crazy,” she said

Adding, “You can’t jump crocs in a pink sequin dress!”

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 21 debuts September 14 at 8 PM on ABC.
