Bobby Brown surprised fans at the annual Funk Fest Park in Jacksonville, Fla., on Friday night when he reportedly proposed to his girlfriend of almost three years, manager Alicia Etheridge.
According to People, the singer asked for Alicia’s hand in marriage by getting down on one knee and presenting her with a ring while she held their 11-month-old son Cassius.
The crowd reportedly went wild as Alicia bent down to meet him and kissed the “Tender Roni” singer.
One Funk fest goer told the Florida Times-Union that she was elated for the singer and his bride-to-be.
“We shouted, we screamed,” fan Carol Pearsall told the paper. “We supported him.”
“Hopefully he’ll get it right this time,” her husband added.
Bobby was previously married to R&B superstar Whitney Houston. They divorced in 2006 after for 14 years of marriage.
