Bobby Brown’s Attorney: Singer ‘Was Not Driving Erratically’

A lawyer for Bobby Brown is speaking out following his arrest on March 26 for suspicion of DUI.

“Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically. He was speaking on his cell phone. Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident,” Brown’s attorney, Tiffany Feder, said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

“Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is underway. The legal process shall run its course,” Feder’s statement continued.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, authorities pulled over the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston on Monday afternoon at 12:20 PM at the intersection of Victory Blvd. and Wilbur in the Van Nuys/Tarzana, Calif., neighborhood.

Brown was pulled over for talking on his cell phone, but officers gave him a field sobriety test, according to Officer Mike Harris of the California Highway Patrol.

The New Edition singer allegedly failed the sobriety test and was taken to the Van Nuys jail.

This is not the first time Brown has been arrested on suspicion of DUI. He previously faced a DUI charge in the late 1990s, and eventually served time in jail on the charge in the early 2000s.
