Bode Miller: Will He Compete In 2018 Olympics?

Over the weekend, after picking up a bronze in the men’s super-G, Bode Miller became – at 36 – the oldest Alpine skier to medal at the Olympic games, but could he set the record again at 40?

Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush asked Bode if he is interested in coming back to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea in 2018.

“Come on,” Billy said. “You gotta do it at 40!”

“Yeah, 40,” Bode said, reflecting on what could happen. “There are some skiers kicking around at 40 who I know.

“It depends mostly on my wife and my body,” Bode said, referencing his spouse, Morgan Beck.

The athlete suggested he has an interest if his body can handle it.

“I think mentally I’ll be tough enough and I’ll never stop loving racing. I’ll never stop loving skiing. But physically, it’s just a question of whether I can hold up and if, you know, if I take crashes inbetween now and then,” Bode told Billy. “But hopefully, with everything going well, I’ll still keep skiing.”
