Brad Pitt & More Stars Show Support For Angelina Jolie After Revealing Double Mastectomy

Brad Pitt and many others in Hollywood are showering Angelina Jolie with love and support after coming forward with news that she underwent a preventative double mastectomy after genetic testing showed she had a high risk of developing breast cancer.

“Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as many others like her, absolutely heroic,” Brad Pitt said in a statement to London’s Evening Standard. “I thank our medical team for their care and focus.

“All I want is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children,” the actor continued. “This is a happy day for our family.”

Giuliana Rancic, who had the same procedure, wrote on Twitter, “Proud of her for using her incredible platform to educate women.”

Sheryl Crow, who battled breast cancer, Tweeted, “I commend Angelina Jolie for her courage and thoughtfulness in sharing her story today regarding her mastectomy. So brave!”
