Bradley Cooper Slams Lance Armstrong Movie Rumors: ‘So Nuts!’

Despite reports that Bradley Cooper is in talks to play disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong in an upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed biopic, the “Silver Linings Playbook” star tells Access Hollywood otherwise.

“No,” he said with a massive laugh, when asked by Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson about the reported casting news.

“Oh my God, that’s so nuts!” he continued.

Speculation swirled following an interview with BBC last week, where Bradley was asked about playing the athlete and said, “I would be interested in that. I think he’s fascinating. What a fascinating character.”

“I was in Manchester, doing the BBC morning show… I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about,” the actor explained to Shaun of the interview that started the rumors. “I didn’t even know that J.J. has the rights, I had no idea.”

Adding, “I don’t know anything about it.”
