Bradley Cooper: The New Indiana Jones?

Will the former Sexiest Man Alive – Bradley Cooper – go from playing a talking space raccoon to Indiana Jones?

One report suggests that the 39-year-old actor is the frontrunner for the lead in upcoming fifth “Indiana Jones” movie, if Disney/Lucasfilm decides to recast Harrison Ford’s iconic role.

According to Latino Review, a James Bond approach (where new actors come in to play the adventure-loving snake-hating archeologist) could be taken with the movie as Harrison is now 71 and his future in the role is uncertain.

Latino Review sources say Harrison could still end up playing the character, but the window to make the fifth “Indy” installment is growing smaller and other actors are being looked at – with Bradley reportedly leading the pack.

Last year Harrison, who will turn 72 in July, spoke about playing the character again.

“We’ve seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it’s perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn’t necessarily have to kick as much ass,” he told The Telegraph at the time.

Former “Walking Dead” showrunner Frank Darabont, who reportedly previously pitched an idea for the fifth installment, is also reportedly in the mix for the movie.
