Brandon Routh: I Owe ‘Everything’ To Superman

Brandon Routh first burst on the scene in “Superman Returns,” a movie he credits for his current success.

“That [movie] was amazing. It has put me where I am today,” he said of the 2006 superhero movie, where he played Clark Kent/Superman, when he stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Friday.

“I owe pretty much everything to that film and that opportunity and I’m very grateful for it,” he told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.
In addition to Brandon’s new role on CBS’ “Partners,” which airs Mondays at 8:30 PM, the 33-year-old loves his new dad role to son Leo, who he and wife Courtney Ford welcomed in August.
“It’s amazing, it’s exhausting, but lovely and amazing,” the actor said of his newborn. “Something [new is] happening every day!”

Brandon credits wife Courtney for taking the brunt of the late-night baby duties, but he did share one of his signature techniques for getting his son to fall back asleep.

“If he doesn’t go down after a while and there’s enough fussing, I get up, pick him up, put him on my chest and pat him and that usually puts him to sleep,” he told Billy and Kit.
