Brandy’s ‘Dancing’ Blog, #7 – Brandy Answers Even More Of Your Questions

OK, so this week has been really hard… for both my partner and me. Between filming my reality show, “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business,” and the constant “Dancing with the Stars” rehearsals, I must admit that I am exhausted. This week’s quickstep is a very fast-paced and an energetic dance with crazy complicated footwork. Add to that, this week is “TV Themed” week and our chosen theme song is an upbeat and fast-paced song which millions of people will remember.

BUT, the hardest part about this dance is the framework. It really is about the frame and staying in that frame while your feet keep moving. Maks brought in a prop to help me hold the framework while we’re practicing. By Thursday night, I definitely had the routine down and this weekend was just about perfecting the moves and holding that frame!!!! I really DO love our song-choice this week. It’s a universal song for a universal theme and Maks and I are both in sync with this dance. Now, if only I can hold that frame…

… So, wish us luck tonight and thanks for your support. Keep your eyes peeled on the dance floor, tune in on Monday, and check out Maks and me – your newest friends from “Dancing with the Stars”!

Now on to your questions:

From Jesse SalazarWhat makes your dancing so dynamic?
In my opinion, Jesse, the dynamics come from having that special chemistry with your partner. Once you have the moves down, it’s about having the emotional connection and being able to bring the audience into your private little dance world.

From Marcus Daou Destin – Are you dating Maksim?
Good question Marcus… Maks and I are just friends. Much has been made of our growing relationship and I want to put the rumors to rest. He and I are good friends and partners in this incredible journey together.

From Kerrie AdamsGood job Brandy! Is it as easy for someone already in the business than with someone with no show business experience?
Thank you for the compliment Kerrie. I don’t think that ballroom dancing is easy to learn especially learning a full routine each week, unless one has had major dance experience already. So, whether or not you’re in the business doesn’t matter. I hope that I’ll walk away with all of this wonderful experience under my belt and be able to put it to good use when I go on tour in 2011. Wish us luck!!!!

Much love to my fellow stars and all of the fans,

brandy
