Breaking Dawn Stars Talk Saying Goodbye To Twilight Saga

“The Twilight Saga’s” Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner made their last appearance together as co-stars at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego on Thursday, where they told Access Hollywood leaving behind their massive franchise is bittersweet.

“We told the story, we put everything we had into it and so there is a huge relief in that,” Kristen told Access prior to the panel for “Breaking Dawn -Part 2.”

The 22-year-old actress, who has a slew of upcoming projects, including “On The Road,” is looking forward to new opportunities on the big screen.

“I got to live in this world for so long, I’m happy to walk away to find new ones to live in, but at the same time I love looking back on it,” she continued.

Taylor echoed his co-star’s sentiments, telling Access, “Bittersweet is definitely the best way to describe it… It’s sad because it’s coming to an end.”

Robert explained that he has plans to attend future Comic-Cons as a guest – with a little help from his Wookie costume.

“I’m looking forward to coming to Comic-Con as a guest in my Chewbacca outfit or something,” the 26-year-old star told Access.

As for the rabid “Twilight” fans, Robert is hoping they put their own spin on the characters they’ve come to obsessively love.

“I’m genuinely curious what they’ll go on to… hopefully they start making their own ‘Twilight’ movies afterwards,” he continued.

During the panel for the second installment of “Breaking Dawn” – hitting theaters on November 16 – the cast was asked about rumors of a reboot of the franchise, which has never been confirmed or commented on by Summit.

Robert and Kristen did offer up an idea or two about what their characters might be like in the future.

“Edward and Bella get divorced and it’s kind of a ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ thing,” Robert said, referring to the 2005 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movie.

“I could totally rip your head off,” Kristen added.
