Bret Michaels Returns To The Stage In Mississippi

Bret Michaels is ready to rock again – and he proved it to 1,400 fans on Friday night.

In his first full concert back since suffering an emergency appendectomy, a brain hemorrhage and a recent warning stroke, Bret took to the stage at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Miss., in his bandana and cowboy hat.

According to People, he drew audience cheers through a number of hits, including Poison’s “Unskinny Bop” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”

“I’ve got a little bitty hitch in my left giddy up, but I think we’ll be all right,” he reportedly told the crowd, explaining his limp. “It’s an awesome feeling, I’m glad to be here.”

Bret made his performance return on Wednesday night at the “American Idol” finale, surprising both fans and his doctors. Sunday night, he triumphed over his health woes to win “The Celebrity Apprentice” during the live finale in New York.

Bret’s tour continues tonight in St. Louis, Missouri. Next month, he’s expected to hit the road with Lynyrd Skynyrd for a string of summer dates across the U.S.
