Fresh off his “Grey’s Anatomy” departure, Patrick Dempsey will also reportedly star in the movie.

Along with TV’s McDreamy, Marc Darcy – played by Colin Firth – will appear in the third film.

The events of the upcoming film take place before author Helen Fielding’s 2013 book, “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” – which is very good news for Marc Darcy fans! The character does not fare well in Fielding’s latest novel.

The father of Bridget’s baby is not known, or if Hugh Grant will also appear again as the often slimy Daniel Cleaver.

“Bridget Jones’s Diary” debuted in 2001, followed by the sequel in 2004.
