Happy news for Bristol Palin – she’s engaged!
The 24-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin is set to tie the knot with Sgt. Dakota Meyer, 26, a Marine veteran.
The couple announced their big news via Instagram early Saturday morning.
“Truly the luckiest girl in the world, cannot wait to marry this man!!!!” Bristol captioned a photo of her and Dakota kissing, with her engagement ring proudly on display.

The bride-to-be also posted a black and white photo of showing off her new sparkler, captioned with simply heart emojis.

Dakota – who was awarded the prestigious Medal of Honor in 2011 for his life-saving actions during a 2009 firefight in Afghanistan – also shared a pic of the couple, captioned, “I’m definitely the luckiest guy ever to be able to spend the rest of my life with @bsmp2 #shesaidyes.”

This will be the first marriage for both Dakota and Bristol (who was previously engaged to Levi Johnston, the father of her 6-year-old son, Tripp).
