Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez… Britney Spears? Could the next pop star be setting her sights on getting behind the “American Idol” judges’ table?
In a new interview in Harper’s Bazaar June issue, the singer said she could imagine herself critiquing would-be singers.
“I would,” Brit told the mag when asked if would ever be a judge on the hit FOX reality singing competition. “I wouldn’t be a tough judge though.”
The 29-year-old pop princess lists Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Rihanna as some of her music favorites and she also revealed a love for pop’s reigning teen prince.
“I think [Justin Bieber is] adorable. I just saw his movie, and I really didn’t realize how big he was. He’s enormous, he’s just Mr. Man. A lot of the movie is really similar to what I did when I was starting out. I did a promo tour for a year, going into radio stations and all that. It was so cool to see our similarities,” she told the mag.
Brit told the mag that being a mother to sons Sean, 5, and Jayden, 4, has helped her mature and speak her mind.
“I think things through a little bit more, and I worry a lot. I’m more straightforward, and I speak up more than I did before,” she explained. “When I was younger, I wouldn’t speak up as much, but now that I’m a mom, things have changed.”
And is the pop star ready for more major life changes in the form of marriage and the possibility of having more children?
