Britney Spears Surprises Fans by Announcing Tour With Enrique Iglesias; But Will It Go Forward?

After her recent live performances over the past few days, Britney Spears fans are saying “Gimme More!” and that’s what they’ll be getting!

Britney Spears announced today on “Good Morning America” that she would set back out on tour beginning in June, with Enrique Iglesias as her tour mate.

She shared the exclusive announcement with “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts while backstage with her dancers after her San Francisco performance, which taped on Sunday, but aired on Tuesday morning.

However, Billboard reported shortly after the announcement that sources have told them Enrique is now pulling out of the Britney tour. Access Hollywood has reached out to reps for Britney and Enrique, and has not yet heard anything back. Access has also reached out to tour promoter LiveNation for comment, and is awaiting comment.

Britney’s tour will begin on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif., and will conclude on August 13 in Toronto, spanning 26 different cities in the two-month period.

During Britney’s “GMA” performance, she was honored by the city of San Francisco, which declared this past Sunday to be “Britney Spears Day.”

“Thank you all so much for all your love and support, you guys are beautiful,” she said to her fans while learning the news.

When asked by Robin Roberts how excited she is about her new music, Britney responded, “I love it, I love music, it’s my world. It’s my everything, so I’m so happy to be able to share it with everyone!”

Britney’s last tour, “Circus,” took her around the globe two years ago and drew over 1.3 million fans, according to Billboard.

Britney’s seventh full-length studio album, “Femme Fatale,” dropped today. The pop star took to her Twitter to announce the news.

“Just got FEMME FATALE on iTunes! So excited for it to finally be out. What do you guys think?” she Tweeted.

Meanwhile, at least one peer of Britney’s was also super-excited for her album release. Christina Aguilera, with whom Britney first came upon the scene with out of the Mickey Mouse Club, Tweeted Tuesday, “Hey @BritneySpears Congrats on Femme Fatale release! Can’t wait to see what you bring in the next video. xo – Xtina”
