Thirty-one million albums, two weddings, a baby and a second pregnancy later, Britney?s fame has brought unbelievable stress into her life.
And as Britney sat down with the ?Today Show?s? Matt Lauer, she could barely keep her emotions in check.
?What do you think it will take to get the paparazzi to leave you alone?? Matt asked.
?I don’t know. I don’t know,? said Britney, as tears began to flow down her cheeks.
?Is that one of your biggest wishes?? Matt asked.
?Yeah. It’s OK. I would like for them to leave me alone,? Britney sobbed.
It is a desperate plea from the 24-year-old pregnant popstar, who told Matt during a ?Dateline? special, that the paparazzi have gone too far.
“As a mother I have to speak, and I have to say something,? Britney told Matt. ?I think when you start taking the sacredness of being a mother away…”
One particular paparazzi photo of Britney driving with Sean Preston on her lap, put Britney?s parenting skills into question.
?Oh my goodness. You know what, I know I’m a good mom,? Britney told Matt.
?It’s not, like, did Britney record a bad song?? Matt said. ?(Its) is Britney a bad mom??
?That’s America for you,? Britney laughed.
?There was another incident here at the house I believe where Sean fell out of a high chair,? Matt said.
?Yeah,? Britney said.
?So, you walked into the hospital and said he bumped his head, fell out of a high chair,? Matt said.
“And then the doctors acted really funny with me,? Britney told Matt.
?Do you think though, Britney, that because of those questions that were asked after that picture on the Pacific Coast Highway with Sean in your lap, that the doctor in that emergency room or that hospital said, wait a minute I have a bad mom on my hands?? Matt asked.
