Britney Spears Wants You To Make Her Next Music Video

Britney Spears might not be happy with the video she shot for her new single, “Piece of Me,” earlier this week, because she handing over the creative reigns to her fans.

In what appears to be a new trend on MTV.com, Britney is holding a contest to find the best fan created video, using the MTV Video Remixer, according to a report on MTV News.

The music channel will provide fans with loads of footage of the pop star over her career to choose from, including performances, red-carpet appearances and interviews.

MTV is hoping people who have never created a video will be inspired by its easy and simple video creator, saying, ” Pick the shots you like, mash them up and hit ‘send’.”

Your Brit video can be up to 3:34 in length or shorter.

If that’s not enticing enough, Britney, along with MTV and Jive Records, will be picking the winner, which will premier on “TRL” on December 20, possibly becoming the new favorite video of millions of watching Britney fans, in addition to and an all-day premiere on MTV Hits and an online premiere on MTV.com.

Log on and mash up Britney, your fan created “Piece of Me” video is due by December 14.
