Brooke Burke Continues ‘Dancing’ Reign

Brooke Burke continued her reign on “Dancing With the Stars” on Monday night.

The model and mother of four, who this season has been dancing with professional Derek Hough, took the new addition to the competition – two dances in a single night, and a solo in the second number, to great success.

Her first dance with Derek – a saucy tango — had judge Bruno Tonioli panting.

“That was more than a tango. That was Los Diablos [tango],” an enthusiastic Bruno raved. “You are in tune like two instruments that play together forever. Stunning.”

The pair walked away with 28 out of 30 points for the number, and nearly doubled their total in the Latin round, where they tackled the mambo.

Brooke started off the dance with a solo in front of the pair’s biggest fan on the judges’ table, Len Goodman, before taking their hip swinging movements to the main dance floor to great success and a standing ovation from the crowd.

“I thought that was a very ambitious performance,” Len said. “Overall, fantastic! I’m very happy.”

“You are a great dancer,” Bruno added as the two took home 27/30. “What can I say, you really are!”

But former professional football star Warren Sapp was just one point behind. Despite his partner Kym Johnson’s shoulder injury, the two took home 54 out of 60 points for a tango, and a jive.

“You epitomize the saying ‘I could dance for joy,’” Len said of the couple’s second dance. “You come out and it’s such a joyful thing to watch.”

The leaderboard for Monday night’s round of competition was:

Cody Linley & Edyta Sliwinska 48/60
Maurice Greene & Cheryl Burke 48/60
Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer 50/60
Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson 54/60
Brooke Burke & Derek Hough 55/60
