Bruce Jenner confirmed that he is transitioning to a woman in a televised interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday night.
While the two-hour interview special featured his four eldest children (Burt, Cassandra, Brandon and Brody), his youngest, Kendall and Kylie, did not appear on the show, but issued a statement of support.
“We love our dad very much. He has the biggest heart and all we want is for him to be happy,” the girls said in a statement to Diane Sawyer. “If he’s happy, we’re happy.”
Bruce’s four stepchildren, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, as well as now ex-wife Kris Jenner, were asked for comment but opted not to speak to the show, Diane said during the interview.
However, the family did take to social media to offer support.
