Bryan Cranston On ‘Better Call Saul’ Cameo Rumors: ‘I’d Do It In A Heartbeat’

Fans of “Breaking Bad” who keep waiting for a Walter White crossover into series spinoff “Better Call Saul” might be waiting for a while to see it happen – if at all.

Access Hollywood caught up with Bryan Cranston at Comic-Con 2015 on Thursday, as he promoted his new stop-motion Crackle series “SuperMansion,” and Bryan shot down any notion that conversations have already taken place to bring America’s favorite meth dealer back to life on the small screen.

“I don’t know if I can really comment on that. And by saying it that way, it sounds a lot more provocative than it really is,” he joked. “There hasn’t been [any talk].”

However, the star did admit that if “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” series creator Vince Gilligan – who recently said it would be a “shame” if Cranston’s character didn’t make an appearance in the spinoff — crafted a plan to bring Walter into the fold, he’d jump at the chance.

“‘Better Call Saul’ is a show that stands on its own and does quite well. It’s a terrific show. I love it. That being said, if Vince thought that there was some legitimate reason why my character would brush up against those characters, I would do it. I would do it in a heartbeat because I owe him – and because it’s a great show,” Bryan explained. “But he wouldn’t do it just for stunt casting. It would be for story reasons. There would be something cool behind it.

“We’ll see,” he noted.

As for his new stop-motion series “SuperMansion,” Bryan said there is definitely an appeal to lending his voice – and not necessarily his face – to the role.

“I love the idea of being able to roll out of bed with a cup of coffee in my hand and a microphone and just work,” he smiled.

“SuperMansion” is set to debut in Fall 2015.
