Bullock Tops Forbes Highest-Paid Actresses List

In a town where youth is prized, and actresses over 40 are often passed over in favor of the newest, hottest talent, America’s sweetheart, Sandra Bullock, again came out on top!

Despite a roller coaster year which included both an Oscar win and a highly publicized divorce, the 46-year-old is currently the highest-paid actress of the past year according to Forbes, bringing in $56 million between June 2009 and June 2010. Sandra’s romantic comedy “The Proposal” grossed $320 million on an estimated budget of only $40 million, while her heartwarming hit “The Blind Side” earned $310 at the box office on a budget of only $30 million.

Tying for second place are blond beauties Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon, each taking in a reported $32 million.

Though Reese hasn’t been seen onscreen since 2008’s “Four Christmases,” she voiced the heroine of the animated film “Monsters Vs. Aliens,” and has been paid for two upcoming films that have yet to be released. She also earns additional income from Avon for her work as an “ambassador.”

In addition to headlining recent films such as “Knight and Day” with Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz has made a small fortune from voicing Princess Fiona in the incredibly popular “Shrek” series, which has earned a total $28 billion internationally via its four films and other revenue-generating outlets.

Jennifer Aniston ranks fourth on the list, with $27 million. Despite a few box office flops, Jen is still Hollywood’s choice for romantic comedies, according to Forbes. Her upcoming movies include “The Switch,” a film about a woman having a baby on her own, co-starring Jason Bateman, and an Adam Sandler film titled “Just Go With It.” Jen is also still receiving residual pay from “Friends,” and just launched her own self-named fragrance line.

Rounding out the Top 5 is the fabulous Sarah Jessica Parker. Sarah earned only slightly less than Jennifer with $25 million. “Sex and The City” has been solid gold for this glamorous gal — not only does she earn residual pay from the HBO show’s syndication, the “Sex and The City 2” feature film sequel earned $280 million internationally. Sarah also owns a successful perfume line, with several popular scents including NYC, and Lovely.
