Captain America Stars Dish On Winter Soldier

Captain America is back for his third big screen appearance in the upcoming “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” where fans will see the shield-wielding hero navigating life – and villains – in today’s world.

Access Hollywood caught up with three of movie’s stars last weekend at Disney’s D23, where they dished on their Marvel adventure movie

“Cap’s in modern day and it’s not so much about him acclimating to the world as it was in ‘Avengers,’ where technology and those types of advancements are kind of new to him. It’s more about him acclimating to the way society is and the way politics are,” Chris Evans, who plays the title role, explained.

After waking up in the modern world from the 1940s, a world which is now filled with aliens, Norse gods and unstoppable green teammates, The Avengers’ leader will be challenged like never before.

“He’s always wanted to be a good man and to do what’s right, but I think it’s a little harder for him to understand what right and wrong is and the definition of good and bad,” Chris said.

Cap will have some help with Sam Wilson/The Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, who will be fighting evil alongside him.

“I’m kind of like Captain America’s compadre, his comrade. We go around and I assist him in saving the world,” Anthony told Access. “[The movie] is really good. Boom! Deal with that! …You have the action, you have the drama, but there’s still a light heartedness that works really well with this movie that makes it relatable from kids to adults.”

Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, also returns for the sequel. The actor told Access that the events of “The Avengers” will be skillfully linked to “Winter Soldier.”

“After you’ve seen, ‘The Avengers,’ the way that [this movie] ties in… it has to have all of those [needed] components,” he said. “It does in a really great way.”

Adding, “It’s not like any other normal movie you’ve seen before. So I feel blessed being a part of that.”

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
