Carly Fiorina Talks ‘The View’ Drama; Credits Hillary Clinton For Breaking Glass Ceiling

Carly
Fiorina took a brief break from the campaign trail, to face off with the ladies
of “The View” on Friday morning.

And
it was Fiorina – 19 minutes into her appearance – who finally acknowledged the
hosts’ previous “demented” comment, when Whoopi Goldberg asked how
the presidential hopeful planned to grow thicker skin.

Following
her “View” appearance, Fiorina sat down with Access Hollywood’s
Stephanie Bauer to discuss the interview.

“I’ve
been called all kinds of things. Honestly, I have a pretty thick skin, it takes
a lot to offend me, that comment didn’t offend me but I think what it started
was a conversation about why is it so often that we try to demonize a messenger
instead of discussing the message?” Fiorina told Bauer. “So what I
wanted to do today on ‘The View’ was discuss the message instead of arguing
among the messengers.”

“View”
drama aside, Bauer also asked the Republican candidate if she credits
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for breaking the “glass ceiling” by running for President.

“Of
course, and I have,” Fiorina noted. “I’ve described Hillary Clinton as
a hardworking, highly intelligent woman. I have said I think it’s fantastic she’s
running for President. I said in 2008 and I’ve said this year. I have empathy
for Hillary Clinton in many ways because I understand that it’s different for
women. A man wouldn’t be asked as I was here in New Hampshire, whether
I thought my hormones prevented me from serving in the Oval Office. It is different
for women still.”
