Case Against Alan Panettiere To Be Presented To District Attorney For Further Investigation

The father of “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere is not off the hook on a possible assault charge if his wife does not want to cooperate, Access Hollywood has learned.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore told Access that the case against Alan Panettiere will be presented to the LA County District Attorney’s office for investigation to see if a crime was committed.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Alan Panettiere was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife, Lesley, on August 11. Lesley Panettiere called authorities after Alan allegedly hit her on the cheek more than once, after the couple had come home from a party, a Sherriff’s Department spokesperson previously told Access.

Alan Panettiere was released the following morning on bail. Later the same day, he was photographed walking a dog with his wife. Lesley Panettiere had sunglasses on in the photographs.
