Casey Kasem’s Death: The Stars React

After the sad news of Casey Kasem’s death broke on Sunday, stars took to Twitter to pay tribute to the iconic “American Top 40” radio host who delivered the week’s biggest music hits for nearly 40 years.

The 82-year-old died of complications from dementia early Sunday morning.

His daughter, Kerri Kasem, announced her father’s passing on Facebook.

“Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken,” she wrote. “Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our Dad.
With love, Kerri, Mike and Julie.”
