Casey Wilson Engaged To Happy Endings Creator David Caspe

The Year of Penny is still going strong!

Casey Wilson – who played the “amahzing” Penny Hartz on “Happy Endings” – is engaged to the show’s creator, David Caspe!

“I got engaged over Labor Day Weekend to my boyfriend of two years and I’m thrilled,” Casey told Us Weekly. “He proposed with a beautiful family ring the first night we spent in our new house.”

Casey had a reaction worthy of Penny after her beau popped the question with a sparkling ring featuring a pear-shaped diamond.

“I was, of course, crying slash wailing,” she said. “And then my dad and brother and his family came up the driveway and then everybody was cry slash wailing.”

Adding, “It was very special. A perfect night.”

The 32-year-old actress and David, 34, worked together on “Happy Endings” from 2011 – 2013 (the show was canceled after its third season on ABC).

In related Casey news, the former “Saturday Night Live” star’s new comedy (with writing partner June Diane Raphael), “Ass Backwards,” will be released on VOD on September 30 and will hit theaters on November 8.
