Casting Call: Ellen Page Headed To ‘Hell’

Ellen Page is headed straight to “Hell,” while Kristen Bell prefers a trip to “Rome.” Plus, a new project for Michelle Pfeiffer! It’s all in the latest edition of the Access Hollywood Casting Call!

Ellen Page is lined up to star in the horror film “Drag Me to Hell,” according to Variety.

The film, directed by “Spider-Man” helmer Sam Raimi, is described as a mortality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse.

“Hell” marks Raimi’s first film since completing the “Spider-Man” films.

Production is slated to begin March 17 in Los Angeles.

Page, who earned critical acclaim for her role as a pregnant teen in “Juno,” next stars in “Smart People,” opposite Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Michelle Pfeiffer is in final talks to star in “Cheri,” based on the 1920s novel by French author Colette, reports Variety.

Set in 1920s Paris, “Cheri” focuses on a wealthy young man who is shown the ways of love by a middle-aged friend of his mother. But after being forced to give up the relationship after getting married to someone else, he retreats into a fantasy world when he can’t forget about her.

The film would serve as a “Dangerous Liaisons” reunion for Pfeiffer, as it would re-team her with writer Christopher Hampton and director Stephen Frears.

Pfeiffer, who was last seen in “Hairspray” and “Stardust,” will next appear in the drama “Personal Effects,” alongside Ashton Kutcher and Kathy Bates.

Mark Steven Johnson (“Ghost Rider; “Daredevil”) will direct the film.

Bell will next hit the big screen in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” a romantic comedy co-starring Mila Kunis, Bill Hader and Jason Segel.
