Casting Call: Jennifer Hudson Signs On For ‘The Three Stooges’ Reboot

Larry, Curly, Moe and J-Hud?

Jennifer Hudson has reportedly signed on for “The Three Stooges,” according to Deadline.

The accomplished singer/actor will play Sister Rosemary in the Farrelly Brothers’ upcoming take on the classic slapstick comedy, due to hit theaters sometime in 2012.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 29-year-old Oscar winner joins a curiously impressive gaggle of household names, including “Glee” star Jane Lynch as Mother Superior, “Modern Family” vixen Sofia Vergara as Mrs. Harter, and “Curb Your Enthusiasm’s” curmudgeonly comedic genius, Larry David, who will play Mother Mengele.

As for the bumbling trio, Sean Hayes (of “Will & Grace” fame) will tackle the role of Larry, while “The Starter Wife” actor Chris Diamantopoulos will play Moe. Former “Mad TV” star/ “$#*! My Dad Says” actor Will Sasso has been cast as Curly.

Jennifer previously starred in 2008’s “Sex and The City” movie, alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, and earned an Academy Award for her supporting role in 2006’s musical hit, “Dreamgirls.” She will also portray Nelson Mandela’s wife, Winnie Mandela, in the upcoming “Winnie,” slated to hit theaters sometime in 2011.
