Casting Call: Meet Robert Pattinson’s New On-Screen Wife — Sarah Gadon

Look out Kristen Stewart – Robert Pattinson has a new on-screen leading lady!

The lovely Sarah Gadon has been cast opposite R-Pattz in the upcoming futuristic thriller “Cosmopolis,” according to Deadline.

In the film, Pattinson plays Eric Parker, a financial wiz who’s caught in the midst of assassination attempt after he risks his entire fortune in the course of a day.

Most of the film’s scenes reportedly take place in a limousine that Robert’s character uses in the futuristic metropolis.

Gadon will play Parker’s estranged wife in the film, which is the big screen adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel. David Cronenberg is writing and directing.

The role had reportedly first been offered to Marion Cotillard, and later Keira Knightley, before Cronenberg opted for Gadon, whom he previously worked with in “A Dangerous Method.”

Gadon – a 23-year-old actress from Toronto – previously appeared in the TV series “Happy Town” for ABC, as well as CBS’ “Flashpoint” and the Disney Channel TV movie “Cadet Kelly.”

Production on “Cosmopolis,” which will also star Juliette Binoche and Paul Giamatti, is slated to begin on April 4 – Gadon’s 24th birthday.
