Casting Call: Megan Fox Headed To ‘Knocked Up’ Sequel?

Much like Katherine Heigl, Megan Fox might be about to get “Knocked Up.”

The sultry big screen siren is in talks to star alongside Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, as they reprise their on-screen husband & wife roles in the sequel to Judd Apatow’s hit 2007 comedy, starring Heigl and Seth Rogen, a spokesperson for Universal confirmed to Access Hollywood on Thursday.

Apatow will once again write and direct the project.

No details were available on the role Fox might play.

While Apatow is keeping mum, he did re-Tweet a fan’s message, which stated, “i am SO excited to see Megan in your film. it is such an interesting choice alongside rudd and your wife but I love this idea!” http://twitter.com/juddapatow

Apatow has been married to Mann since 1997.

Back in January, Apatow reportedly told HitFix.com that the sequel would follow Rudd and Mann’s characters more closely.

“It is just a story from Pete and Debbie’s current life,” he told the site at the time. “People really responded to their characters and problems. I felt like there was a lot of ground I could explore with them, so we’ll be shooting in July and will come out the following June. There are some fun details yet to reveal but I will let them come out slowly.”

As for Fox, who was last seen in the 2010 action adventure “Jonah Hex,” she recently wrapped production on two films – “Friends with Kids,” a thirty-something coming-of-age drama starring real-life romantic couple Jennifer Westfeldt and Jon Hamm; and “Passion Play,” a period piece starring Mickey Rourke.
