Casting Call: Olsen Twins As Bond Girls?

A double dose of Bond girl? Gerard Butler sets sail for kiddie island. And Samuel L. Jackson’s got “Spirit .. how ‘bout you? It’s all in today’s Access Hollywood Casting Call?

Denise Richards. Halle Berry. Teri Hatcher? ? Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen?

According to published reports, the Olsen twins were in talks to become the next Bond girls in the upcoming 007 film. It would mark the first time a pair of twins would’ve occupied the legendary role.

However, a rep for the girls tells Access Hollywood there is no truth to the rumor.

No word yet on who will star alongside Daniel Craig in the next James Bond installment, which is scheduled to be released November 7, 2008.

Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to star as mysterious super villain in “The Spirit,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“Spirit” is the latest comic book adaptation from Frank Miller, who co-directed “Sin City” with Robert Rodriguez.

The story follows Denny Colt, an ambitious young cop murdered in the line of duty who is mysteriously reborn as the masked mystery man known as the Spirit.

Jackson would play the Spirit’s nemesis, the Octopus, a meek lab assistant who reinvents himself as a psychotic nightmare that kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face. The Octopus’ tentacles reach into every aspect of crime in fictitious Central City, a city he plans to wipe out.

Jackson was Miller’s first choice for the role, per the Hollywood Reporter.

After defending Sparta, “300” muscle man Gerard Butler is toning it down a bit, joining Jodie Foster and Abigail Breslin in the kid’s adventure film “Nim’s Island,” reports Variety.

Based on the Wendy Orr children’s book of the same name, “Nim’s Island” follows a young girl who lives on a tropical isle with her father, a scientist whose boat runs into trouble one day, leaving the girl to fend for herself on the island.

Butler will next be seen alongside Hilary Swank in the dramedy “P.S., I Love You,” slated to hit theaters in December.

Jeff Bridges is ready to “Alienate” moviegoers with the help of Kirsten Dunst and Simon Pegg.

Bridges has joined the cast of “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,” per the Hollywood Reporter.

Bridges will play Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter in the adaptation of Toby Young’s comic novel which chronicles the period when Young moved to New York to work at Vanity Fair while looking for love.

Pegg currently stars in the comedy “Hot Fuzz” and we hear Dunst appears in some big movie about a spider.
